Stuck in the 60's Again?

Interesting thoughts cross my mind when I look at the economies lack of news. I was looking at the Free stuff on Craig's List and again today I thought why not find a way to collect what is offered in building materials and appliances and take them to a central place that is licensed and legal (frickin bureaucratic pain in the a$$). There sell the used building materials at a discount. It would definitely bring in more then the cost of the materials, as well as work on the reduce/reuse/recycle ethics I espouse. Sounds like a commune type process that would actually take some real effort to make a profit. I think I should also look into the tax incentives available for recycling businesses. And grants from the State and the Feds are probably available. Construction cleanup sites could also be another source of less the full size building material. Oh damn I am now blue skying on the idea.

Hitting the Bricks again

Today is a supposedly historic day
and I am hitting the bricks again. I am again unemployed. The call volume at Apple for Iphone is so low that they have been letting people go in herds. Yesterday was my turn. The current economy SUCKS for the working class in this country. At least this time I didn't lose my job to a foreigner just to the endemic business slowdown in our economy. Supposedly the economy will start to recover under the new regime. But the current Dow Jones Indutrials is down $155.31 just hours after Obama was sworn in. My confidence if flagging as well. With the downturn's in the markets my wife was laid off her job as well a week ands a half ago as well. I am afraid we will have to go to an appliance store and get a couple refridgerator boxes for a place for my family and I to live in.
