The ME ME ME Generation

Well Uncle Arnie has laid on the table the closing of a bunch of state parks. What a savings! We will save close to $70 Million dollars from the general fund that we do not have to pay to operate the parks. 223 of 279 parks are slated to be closed. Why does that sound like an incredibly DUMB thing to do? In today's economy you try and minimize your expenses for entertainment so you go to a state park and camp or play, like in Columbia, for a minimum cost yet they seem to have received money from you to pay for your admission. Yet our government is to much a ME ME ME type of organization to trim from the top down. I googled what the assembly folks make from us at:

Currently, California state lawmakers are paid $116,208 a year and are the highest-paid legislators in the nation, according to a commission salary survey. The 18 percent cut will reduce the salary to $95,291 a year. Currently, they earn 31 percent more than the next highest-paid state lawmakers in Michigan and New York, who make $79,650 annually.

This cut will not take place until the new elections and will not help the current budget issue. Makes me wonder why the hell I decided to move back to California. The average wages made by Americans is $31570.76. So the legislature of the People are making 3.6 times the average. So I personally would be happy making $15.00 per hour. Which comes out to $31,200 per year (which is below average BTW), So I do the math figuring a 40 hour week which is probably less then they actually work so they make $55.87 an hour. Oh wait they have that Per Diem and their office is paid for by you and me and lets not forget the cars we give them and their other benefits. Like the cafeteria in the legislative office building is supposedly killer and cheap. And next term they will have to scrape by at $45.81 per hour based again on a 40 hour week. How will they manage?

Gotta give credit to Uncle Arnie though. He does not take the $212,179.00 (102.01/hr)salary he is permitted. Of course I am firmly of the belief that he make a lot more then that off of his movie career. Now if they could balance the budget by making those pay cuts immediate and discontinuing the Per Diem. Hell why not close the cafeteria and put in a food court like at the Galleria and if it does not make money close it down. That's how real world business works.

That kid in New Ulm MN was exploring the alternative medicine practices used by native people to get relief of his cancer. According to reports he is 13 years old. In the Jewish traditions he should have stood up before the congregation and given his "Today I am a man" speech. In many American Indian traditions he was a man. Yet the DAMNED GOVERNMENT decided that they knew what was best for him. At considerable expense to that government. In todays economic climate that is not just wrong it is criminal. When there are people in that county that according to Wuikipedia is referred to "as the city of Charm and Tradition". So violating traditions is OK if you can stick your nose in other peoples business? CHARMING

Supreme Court Upholds the Peoples Vote

OK as many of you are aware I was against Prop 8 on the November ballot. It did pass by a majority. So the people of this state obviously do not want same sex marriages. Today the Supreme Court of California upheld that vote. I commend them for it. Yes a minority is singled out and not allowed to marry. BUT this is a democracy where we count noses to find out what the laws should be. Anyone remember Davis out Uncle Arnie in? Same thing the people have spoken. Even though I do not agree with the Supreme's on this they have upheld an election that all citizens of California had the opportunity to vote in. Unlike out legislators, THEY did the job they were hired to do. If a proposition goes the way you want its all good, if it goes against you, you the minority go to court to force your minority view on the majority? That is not right in California or in Michigan. (Extra points if you get the reference). Sorry about those with same sex marriage plans you should have got it together in the open window for getting married. I am glad the Supreme's upheld the marriages that were done.

Today is the day!!!

We the people because our elected officials cannot do the JOB they were elected to do and are being paid to do, we get to balance the budget. Woo freakin' Hoo. An illiterate street person has just as much say as an economics professor. I am going to reiterate my basic message on elections NO INCUMBENTS. VOTE NO ON EVERYTHING, with the exception of not allowing the legislature to have a raise in a deficit year. Everything costs us money so dont vote for it. Encourage your legislature to make it even harder to feed off the public dole. It is too fuckin easy to pop out another kid to up your welfare. Darwin is right, let the weal die off. I am so not nice today doing something that someone else is paid well for and doesn't pisses me off.

I am concerned

I have been keeping a diary for the last week or so of my blood pressure. When I take my blood pressure in the morning right out of bed I am running a ball park of of 180/110 with a pulse in the upper 50's range. When I go about my normal day, no excitement, nothing to really piss me off my BP shoots up to 250ish/140 with a pulse of mid to upper 70s. This is wrong for my continued existence. One of the things that I see is different in morning and evening is that I have not had any coffee yet, here comes the biggy, no cigarettes. So I am trying an experiment in living to a ripe older age. I know , I know I am already old to most of you and can be pretty ripe but PPPHHHHHPPPPPPHHHTTTTT!!!!! (to quote bill the cat). I have not had a smoke this morning (its 8:30, so far so good) I have started drinking Decaf(yuk phewy), and I walked for a bit this morning(about 20 minutes including that big ass hill here in the apartments). Sweating like a women of ill repute in a place of Christian worship, and my heart pounding like a nervous virgin in her wedding bed (not that I have ANY experience with women in church OR virgins) but my BP was at 183/102 actually 4 points below what it was when I got up this morning.


Thanks friends for letting me poor out what I am concerned about.

Scammed and pissed

Well I will no longer get shit from my wife about my paranoia! I received a package today from a company that (SUPPOSEDLY) had some work at home stuff for me to do. As soon as I received the money orders I called the company that issued them. GUESS WHAT? They had already been cashed a month or more ago for a dollar amount that was not on the money orders themselves.

Pissed me off.

I have contacted the Postal Inspectors to file a fraud complaint. Since I do have transcripts of all my instant message conversations with the person who wanted to BEND ME OVER AND CORNHOLE ME, I have a bunch of evidence to use against them. Pissed me off big time. So I am going to pursue postal fraud charges as far as I can! I guess my attitude has changed from when I was younger, I am going legally. Not doing the napalm his village routine. But the fantasy is there. Since when I spoke to him he had a accent that was Middle Eastern or Indian (dot not feather) I did not trust him AT ALL!. So here is what I sent him after I did my due diuligence checking. Damn I am so grown up sometimes.

Since I have had many friends who have burned on work at home scams I called the issuer and the money gram serial numbers R201354551965 and 201354551954 were cashed back in march. One for $14 and the other for $45--
The company was Moneygram and there number is 1-800-542-3590

I have so far not contacted Kimberlee Scott I am going to let the police or postal inspectors or maybe even the federal buraeu of intimidation do that so I don't fuck up the investigation. Of course emailing Rick Lane and starting the process to get the job and he mails you a express package and costs him $16.63 would be funny. If any of you do please post a comment on what happened. DO NOT cash the money orders without getting them verified first. If you put them in the bank and they are fraudulent you will at the least be liable for the money PLUS bounced check fees. If you cannot prove due diligence you could be liable for criminal prosecution as well!

As I find out more on the fraud charges I will share the information with Y'all
