WOW. can you say SCAM? I did a search for NIEL INC on google and nothing comes up even related to dairy. The corporations all seem to be french perfumers. HMMMM? Shall we prey on the desperate shall we? There is a solution for this type of issue. There are VERY few problems that cannot be resolved with a suitible application of HIGH EXPLOSIVE.

armed citizen

I watched 60 minutes tonight and this article has pessed me off at Diane yet again.

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/04/09/60minutes/main4931769.shtml

She wants to close the so called Gun Show Loop Hole in the law saying that background checks are needed on gun purchases. But I am forced to agree with Phillip Van Cleave on this point.

Philip Van Cleave says the ban on guns on college campuses should be lifted. "If just one student 21 or older had a permit and had been armed that day - I mean the first time a police officer showed up, they didn't even fire a shot. He saw the police coming, he killed himself. It was over. The first time somebody would've been able to show him resistance, it would've stopped him. I'm convinced he would've killed himself and probably saved a whole bunch of lives at that point."

Imagine if an armed citizen had seen what was happening to Ms Santu. One shot and a victim would have been saved, and no doubt would remain in the guilt or innocence of Ms Hollingsworth. But I am a little in agreement with Admiral Bob here. "An armed society is a polite society". When I am afraid to make eye contact with a neighboring car because its a sign of aggression and they might be armed and I am not. Something needs to change. I lived in Arizona in my late teens and early twenties and open carry was 100% legal. I even shook Reagan's hand in full view of secret service with a .45 on my hip. I was careful to make sure they knew it was there and kept my hand in view and slow at all times. Just because I carried a gun did not mean I was stupid. Very few violent crimes were commited in AZ while CA with its totalitarian gun carrying rules was rife with violent crime. A incident in point was the kidnap, rape and murder of Victoria Santiago. That occured several blocks from where I was drinking beer at 18 years old and the cops came and checked the basement. A armed citizen would have stopped it dead in his tracks.

Where are our rights going

Today I have two things I want to gripe about specifically I am sure there are others.
The First:
Last night i was watching the news of the arrest down in Tracy in the Cantu case. I watched the news for a couple of hours and no where did they refer to the person arrested as a suspect. Hello, what happened to "presumed innocent until found guilty". The press was treating her like she "did" it not was "suspected" of it. By the slant that was given by the media I think she did but that is for a jury of her peers to determine. How many times have a jury acquitted someone? How often does pre-trial publicity taint a jury pool? OR taint a persons vote even if they make it through the selection process? The defenders of our rights the so called "free press" need to be a little more respectful of a defendants rights before the government makes them a mouthpiece for what they want us to know. Any one ever read "1984" by Orwell?
The Second
In regards to the attempted hijacking of the Maersk Alabama and the kidnapping of Captain Richard Phillips. First the news on CNN is only 3 minutes old so I have to change my tone a bit. Capt. Phillips is now free and the US Navy seals killed 3 terrorists in rescueing him. This is what pisses me off though. Not that the terrorists were killed in a military action but that we were negotiating with them at all. It has been my belief that we do not negotiate with terrorists. But now it looks like were using negotiations to lull the idiots into a false sense of security while one of their members was taken to the USS Bainbridge to negotiate and the other 3 were killed in the rescue. Capt. Phillips was unharmed in his rescue. Here is a link to the CNN story:

AB357 and treating us like adults

I was emailed AB357 today and looked it up on line at:

http://www.assembly.ca.gov/acs/acsframeset2text.htm

and read the contents of the bill. Is Assembly Member Knight out of his mind? Where does he get off treating us the citizens of California Like adults? His bill strikes out the clause "that good cause exist for the issuance" on the concealed weapon process. Isn't he aware that he is committing political suicide? Treating adults like they are responsible? How dare he! Next thing you know our governing bodies will stop molly coddling criminals or (GASP) stop the entitlements illegal aliens and the economically destitute feel they deserve. I bet he even refuses his stipend for living here in Sacramento and working for the People. How could someone who thinks like that aspire to govern us? Damn, I wish we had a whole bunch more. I wish I was in his district.
