No really it does.
Make it illegal to suck gravel from the bottom of streams and rinse and aerate the gravel and let it fall back to the bottom of the stream. When you clean up you remove the mercury from the micro-particles that you remove from the gravel. And you do this after fish have spawned so you are not endangering young fish. Makes as much sense to me as it did to make the mountain lion an endangered species by popular (and unscientific) vote. When that was passed I predicted mountain lions killing humans within two years. Wow guess what I was right. remember the jogger who was killed here in the Sacramento area? within two years. Damn my logic on that was spot on. My predictions on unemployment extensions was also right. Gold mining revenue going through the floor next. I have heard predictions that Pioneer mining in Auburn will be reducing hours if not closing. I don't know about the gold mining store over on Fulton but it won't surprise me. Mail order may be the only way to buy prospecting supplies real soon.
OK so my opening lines were pure unmitigated BULLSHIT!!
But since when has anything done by our legislature make sense? I was part of the letter writing campaign for Unka Arnie to not sign this into law but he didn't listen to me, or the rest of my prospecting buddies. Instead he listened to the suits who kiss his ass. We need to get this unsigned asap.
I will be going to the legislature records and find out who voted for this bill and post a list of who voted which way so we can start firing the people who won't do what we hired them to do.
Read and read my comments and make your own!
