Murfreesboro tea party organizer owes thousands in unpaid taxesby Christian Grantham - 3:38 pm - August 3rd, 2009 (via @RCDP) According to tax lien records posted online, Murfreesboro tea party organizer Christian Hidalgo owes thousands of dollars in unpaid taxes.
Christian Hidaglo hates paying taxes. He hates them so much he organizes local Republicans to protest paying them in what they call Tea Parties. Now documents show the Tea Party organizer owes over $80,000 in state and federal tax liens stretching over a 10-year period.
For several years, Hidalgo has not paid portions of both state and federal taxes, forcing both the state and federal government to spend time and resources to issue several liens against his property and assets. Government authorities can seize property and assets of individuals with liens for unpaid taxes.From the Tennessee Democratic Party:
“I guess we know now why Mr. Hidalgo is leading the effort to protest taxes,” Tennessee Democratic Party Chairman Chip Forrester said of Christian Hidalgo, who owns a Murfreesboro-based marketing and public relations firm. “It’s hard for me to understand how people who don’t pay taxes think they are paying too much.”
Tax records from the Rutherford County Register of Deeds show Hidalgo has been stiffing the IRS for more than a decade. He is not the only local Tea Party organizer who has been dodging tax payments, though.
Recently it was revealed that National Tea Party organizer and Williamson County Republican Michael Patrick Leahy has more than $100,000 in tax liens and court judgments filed against him.

OK so this idiot protests against paying taxes. And does not pay taxes. but then he gets a horrendous lein on his business and property. OK if you are going to argue with the government about taxes your gonna get burned. Better to pay them and sue to get them back then not pay them and lose all your stuff. An individual fighting the government is like a Toyota pulling in front of a semi. Ties go to higher gross tonnage. The truck wins. Of course your heirs can sue the owner of the truck to regain something.

So why does this person expect to get people to follow him? That's kind of like if your friends jumped off a cliff would you follow them? So if you are part of this tea party don't look to me for sympathy when Uncle Sam takes your house before it gets foreclosed on. Oh and you still owe somebody money. And if I understand it right Uncle Sam gets first dibs.
