But the department of fish and game is dumb. Today I am taking my sluice box and putting it in a stream in the Mother Lode and hope to find some of that thar yellar metal. It isn't a suction dredge it is a shovel and lift operation. With a little luck I will bring back enough gold to be worth the effort.
