We received a official letter today from the school informing us that Stephen is now on probation for this quarter after a review of his fourth quarter last year. This means he cannot go to extra curricular no foot ball games or dances. Which he attended religiously last year. Yeah Right. Trying to get him interested in going to a dance was like getting him to brush his teeth. Why bother. So as Stacie says he is being punished for last years transgressions this year. I wonder what they are going to do when they see his lack of use of their summer School system. Will it then be "double secret probation"?
this is our tax dollars at work? I am going to assume that he has at least a masters degree but the Roseville High website has no information on his qualifications. And a google search for him brings up nothing. But he is educated enough to forbid my stepson to go to dances and football games this quarter. That kind of makes me think of the punishment for ditching school. If he wont come we won't let him. So since he doesn't go to the games or dances they won't let him. Such effective discipline. Of course my opinion of the effectiveness of the Roseville high school system is really low.
He did so poorly last year to put him on probation this quarter. And when he started this year he was scheduled for PE (Phys Ed for you Yankees who may read this), Peer helping (a touchy feely type class), Tutorial (study Hall) and cooking. A schedule so light on academics that I wondered if they were trying to make his GPA positive number. I mean show up and dress out and you will get a passing grad in PE. Of course that was too much to do for him last year.
So his mother (bless her heart) took him out of PE and put him in World Studies so he has at least one academic course. Boy howdy did that piss him off. "We ruined his life" according to him. Well so far he is actually doing OK in that class. We shall see as grades come out but the online book shows him as not missing any assignments. We are keeping our fingers crossed.

I was just advised that i did not include the name of the Administrator after chastising his actions. Mea Culpa. It was Mr Jason Wilson. Sorry Derwood. And mr Delgado told me he does not need a masters degree to become a vice principal he just needs an administrative credential that he can get from the state by passing a test.
